Phil has over 25 years’ experience in environmental health, public protection, and pollution control. Phil started his career working for air quality consultants specialising in the surveying, testing and the management of various pollutants such as lead, asbestos and other occupational health contaminants. He has worked for Local Authorities for over 20 years and is a member of the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health (CIEH) and The Institute of Environmental Science (MIEnvSci). As part of his local authority work, Phil has provided expert witness within public inquiry in relation to odour and dust nuisance. Phil was involved in writing the Code of Construction Practice for Westminster City Council which included work on the requirements of construction dust management, monitoring, mitigation, and control. He has many years of experience investigating odour and dust nuisance and the regulation of compliance under IPPC and later the PPC legislative regimes. He has a wealth of knowledge and experience in reviewing Air Quality Assessments for Planning applications, Environmental Statements and EIA chapters. In the last eight years Phil has managed a noise, vibration and dust assessment, monitoring and management service providing consultancy services on local and national infrastructure and construction projects of various sizes across the UK.

Senior Consultant
Gopinath has over 10 years of experience in air pollution research and pollution control. He began his career as a Research Fellow at the Global Centre for Clean Air Research, focusing on air quality monitoring and data collection for various pollutants, including particulate matter (PM10, PM2.5, and ultrafine particles) and other occupational health contaminants. He is a full member of both the Institute of Air Quality Management (MIAQM) and the Institute of Environmental Science (MIEnvSci).
Gopinath has authored and co-authored numerous articles in internationally recognized research journals. He later worked as a Research Fellow in Systems Thinking at the Institute for Sustainability, where he managed research programs, identified new research areas, and contributed to drafting grant proposals to expand the institute’s research portfolio. He also served as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Chemical Engineering at Coimbatore Institute of Technology, India.
With extensive experience in reviewing air quality assessments for various research projects, Gopinath has, over the past six years, led air quality assessments, monitoring, and management for multiple international research projects across the UK.
